Hey Everybody!
Dumaylah!

So life is good here in Africa, thats for sure. Time is starting to fly by..i cannot believe it is almost November! Craziness...

So i told you a little bit about some of the children at Mamelodi, and they are awesome, but i have definitely found my niche. Dont worry, ill be keeping up with the people at Mamelodi and visiting at least once a week, but i have completely fallen in love with the hospital ministry in nearby Atteridgeville.

I have spent the past week at this hospital, and have already built some awesome relationships with the people there, patients and nurses alike. I have found the love of my life, and he is a beautiful baby boy named Kamo. Oh my goodness he is so gorgeous. I go into his ward every day and pick him up, and though i walk around and talk to tons of other people, i do not put him down until we leave four hours later. Yep, hes that cute. =)

I would like to ask you to spend time in prayer for this girl named Caroline. She is 14 years old, and so timid. But the second day that i spent time with her she really opened up...who knew there was a talkative little girl inside the shell?  Though we cannot really know what is wrong with her, i have seen enough AIDS patients by now that I can typically recognize it a mile away. Much to my chagrin, i am almost positive that this little girl is very very sick with HIV. She has the sunken in cheekbones and eyes, its so sad. But all she will say is that she is vomiting and feels very bad. I have been able to find out that she has been in the hospital over a month though. Thats not normal.
She is like the kids you see in the videos on tv, so incredibly tiny, with a protruding tummy. But her arms and legs are like twigs. We have a good time though, and we even have a pretty sweet secret handshake. =)
Keep her in your prayers, as well as her mother, who is there quite a bit. I will definitely keep you updated.

Also keep my nurse friends in your prayers. Phyllis, the head nurse, has made MUCH possible for me in being there, so thats a huge help. And of course my two AWESOME new friends, leonard and rebekkah, who are student nurses. THey have practically never heard of Jesus, and are so hungry for the truth. They asked me if i could bring bibles when i go back on monday for them. I am so excited for them and how God is going to move in them.

Continue to keep Alabanza and our house in your prayers. Spiritual Warfare is continuing to prove its reality daily, but we must hold on to the fact that we are in the Hand of an Almighty and Sovereign God, amen?

I hope to hear from yall both on here and in LETTERS soon. =)

Miss and love all of you soo much!
~Martha
